I had the privilege of working for Champion Teamwear for three years. Within my time there I was tasked with creating original designs that were displayed on sports apparel. Clients would come to us with an idea in mind for what they wanted for their customized athletic apparel, and we would fulfill these desires. We aided in making sure each customer chose the right apparel styles, colors, and designs to represent their brand. I was trained in designing files for the processes ultrafuse, embroidery, and ultrafuse prep. I worked using illustrator to create mock-ups of uniforms with the logos and design elements I created that were then, after confirmation from the client, sent to the print production floor.

While working at Champion Teamwear I was involved in several special projects. These projects included creating a Veteran's Day banner to be displayed at the Champion headquarters, working on jerseys for the Premier Lacrosse League, and designing tailgating apparel for college teams with Champions sister company Gear For Sports.
Veteran's Day Banner
One of the special projects I worked on was creating a Veteran's Day banner to honor those who worked at Champion that had previously served our country. This banner had to be an original design that showcased veteran employees as well as patriotic themes. I was asked to collect headshots, as well as photos from employees that wanted to be included and make sure these were displayed on the banner. Once completed this banner was then printed and displayed at Champion headquarters in Kansas.
Premier Lacrosse League
I also had the opportunity to work on helping to design Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) jerseys. While collaborating on this project I was ensuring that the designs were focused on the brand identity of the team, while still making sure they are successfully functional at each size. I helped to create both the on-field and replica lacrosse jerseys. My main responsibilities were making sure all of the measurements and design elements looked correct on the apparel size runs, as well as making quick changes to designs based on the customer's needs.

Tailgating Apparel
One of my favorite special projects that I got to be a part of was working with Champion's sister company Gear For Sports to create college tailgating apparel that was then sold in the school bookstores, as well as local Target's and Walmart's. During this project I assisted in designing and sourcing branded apparel for the college and professional sports market. I focused on not only ensuring that each design element successfully fit the college team it would be associated with, but I also spent much time ensuring the licensing for each team was being accurately followed. The apparel was meant to be high-quality but must be on-trend to promote profitability and sales.
